Review: Singapore Airlines Business Class A380 Sydney to Singapore

Flight Details:
Wednesday, 1 July
Depart: 11:15AM
Arrive: 5:40PM

Duration: 8hr20min
Seat: 11A (windowless)

Since completing my Masters in Commerce with the University of Sydney, it was time to head home for a break before my graduation in October. I've sat in Singapore Airlines A380 Business Class before but it was awhile ago and it was from Paris to Kuala Lumpur.

Despite the shorter journey, I was well taken care of by the crew and the journey was wonderful as expected.
Had my per-departure champagne with warm nuts.
Smoked Salmon with Cherry Tomato Confit and Mesclun with olive oil dressing was served as the appetiser. I also had some garlic bread.
As for my main course, once again, I've per-ordered my meal with Book the Cook. Indian lamb shank curry with vegetables and pilaff rice was my choice and it was tasty no less.
Soon, it was time for dessert with a choice of salty pistachio praline ice cream or cherry cheesecake. As I only had room for only one, I picked the cherry cheesecake and ordered myself a kris flyer sling. Unfortunately the drink was not to my liking and it took awhile to finish it.
The meal was ended with a selection of cheese - Maffra cloth bound, berry's creak tarwin and barossa washington cheeses served with garnishes.
With all that food, I was well fed, satisfied, ready to enjoy more movies and rest. I've also requested the Singapore Bears which were so cute to accompany my Ghillies Birkin 40cm in bleu de prusse that I was lucky enough to have gotten it in Hermes Sydney just recently.

As I've experienced the SQ 777-300ER just two weeks back with the updated seats, that unfolds to a fully flat bed without obstacles, A380 has definitely lost out a bit as the seats was slightly halved as the picture above have shown when it opened up to form a bed. I had to sleep slightly angled BUT it did not disrupt my rest. I would also like to add that, even though my seat had no window, I was not affected by it and felt just as comfortable.
Some praline while watching the movies. Managed to watch 3 movies this time - Horrible Bosses 2, Big Eyes and Annie.
For refreshments, I was given a choice of Thai Style Pineapple Fried Rice or the Warm Turkish Bread Sandwich with Gammon Ham-Cheese. I picked the fried rice.
No doubt that flying with Singapore Airlines is pure comfort and luxury. This is a glimpse of the only two Airbus 380s featuring a large Singapore flag-themed design to celebrate Singapore's 50th birthday. Its a shame that as Singapore celebrates its pride and success, Malaysia is facing some serious political issue and affecting the economic stability. Ah well..

The Singapore Airlines Business Class A380 experience looks absolutely amazing—luxurious comfort, great food, and top-notch service all the way from Sydney to Singapore. It’s always fascinating to see how airlines elevate travel to such a premium level. Recently, I was reading about the JetBlue Airlines Unaccompanied Minor Policy, and it reminded me how different airlines focus on passenger care in their own ways—whether it’s luxury for adults or safety and comfort for kids traveling alone.
