A graduate degree in Development Studies provides an entry point to a career in government and non-government organisations associated with such issues as aid and development planning. It encourages the acquisition of skills and abilities that can be applied in a variety of careers. Some of our recent graduate students of Melbourne University Development Studies are now working in various organisations and agencies such as UNHCR, Geneva, UNESCO Bangkok, UNAIDS, Geneva, Concern Universal, Bangladesh, ActionAid Afghanistan, Integration Consultants, Belgium, SEAMEO, Philippines, AusAid International, and Concern Universal, Bangladesh. These graduates work in various capacities such as country directors, project evaluation and monitoring officers, information and education directors, policy and advocacy managers, and consultants.
hmm so these are some of the jobs i can apply for..and NO ppl..development studies do not develop stuff.. =.=
IF i follow my SCIENCE's path then I'll be a zoologist.
well zoologists can do a lot..do not underestimate..
1)become a researcher and further my studies...in animal behaviour and evolution(my interest)..there are of cause more stuff you can research in..
2)As research scientists, zoologists are often employed in federal and state organizations such as AQIS,EPA, Divisions of Wildlife Research, Entomology, and Fisheries and Oceanography of the CSIRO, Environment Australia, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Agriculture Victoria,Parks Victoria, and the Veterinary Research Institute, zoological gardens and museums. HA..better than sitting in the office 9 to 5 until ur arse hurts!! In the private sector zoology graduates are employed as: consultants for companies involved in conservation resource and wildlife management; and in technical and research positions in veterinary, agricultural, biotechnology and industrial research organizations.
3)Zoologists may work in the field collecting information on the required habitat types for an animal, or in the lab devising techniques of IVF and cryogenics to assist in the breeding and management of threatened and rare species. you still wan ur grandchildrens to see tigers a not..or u wan them to see pictures of tigers only? HMM..u tell me..!!! Practical conservation requires knowledge of how species, populations and community ecosystems interact. this is soo cool! save the world... =)
4)Zoologists have the research and data analysis skills qualifying them to assess policies regulating a variety of areas, from public health to the management of natural resources.(this is kinda boring..) hahaha..but u never know...
SO PEOPLE!!! stop asking me what i'm gonna be when i grow up..what are my job options...or what i'm studying will land me a job..or malaysia needs me a not..ESSSHH i dun care alright?(for the mean time) i'm studying because i wanna learn and study..not to earn a million bucks by tomorrow.. =.=
